Today we had our second Mandarin lesson from our tutor Vio. We learned about the different tones, the 6 vowels and their sounds and how to say some words.
How lucky are we to be able to learn another language? Many of us that do not know Mandarin will be able to be supported by our Mandarin speaking learners in our class. I hope they help us out and don't laugh at our attempts to learn their language. Learning a language is an important skill and learning Mandarin is an important economic future skill.
We really like learning the Chinese vowels.
